When I found out I was pregnant for the 2nd time, I started searching for a new stroller immediately, since I used my city mini everyday. I was considering the BOB, Joovy, Phil & Teds. I have a couple of complaints with the select, but my best advice is wait until you have the baby!!!! I would have gotten a sit-n-stand or Joovy. My 20 month old, would have been fine without the seat.

All that being said. Here are my pros & cons.

Pros.
1. my children love riding in it
2. Great basket
3. Sturdy
4. Tires do not need to be inflated
5. Great sun shades

Cons
1. Heavy - all double are
2. takes up a lot of space in car
3. No matter how you configure the seats the children are on top of each other or have their feet in the other's face.
4. Awkward to steer
5. $$$$$$$
6. Shallow seats

This is a fantastic stroller! My husband and I were amazed by how easy it is to use and manipulate all the parts. Since the 2011 version has come out, we found the 2010 version for $360 on another website - I don't know why Amazon still has the Onyx listed at $500. There wasn't much of a difference between the 2010 and 2011 versions, so we went for the "older" one.
We had read the reviews, but we were still incredibly impressed with how great this stroller is to manipulate. One downside - it is heavy for me to carry. But even folded up, I can just roll it. It folds down pretty well and fits in our coat closet.

I started using this stroller 7 weeks ago for my newborn and my 2 yr old. I do not have the car seat adapter (one isn't made for my car seat), nor do I have the bassinet, I just lay the seat flat and put in one of those car seat head pillow things and strap him in-I guess the manufacturer doesn't want you doing that for some reason but he's safe, snug and happy in it! It is so versatile, I love it. I love that both kids can be fully reclined and sleep in it after an exhausting outing. My 2 year old hates strollers, so I was afraid to purchase a pricey double one, but he LOVES it and climbs right in himself without a fight (and that's hard to come by). And all his little friends fight to sit in it as well, not sure why the toddlers want in it so bad but its a good thing! Even if he didn't love it, I love that it converts back to a single so easily, I routinely use it as a single too if I'm out with only one of my kids.

It just glides and drives great, though is a bit hard to get over curbs when both kids are in it, you just have to pull it up backwards instead. It is very easy to maneuver around, even in tight stores. My husband and I were insistent on getting a side by side and not a tandem, but after trying this out in a specialty store we fell in love! The quality seems so much better than that of the Baby Jogger City Mini Double. The fabric on the City Select is very thick, sturdy and well made, it's not that tent-like material of the city mini. The shades are huge and unzip to go completely up or down, or anywhere in the middle. They really provide amazing sun protection. I purchased the 2010 stroller (b/c it was on sale) and added the 2011 2nd seat kit. I recommend the 2011 version of the seat, the seat is much deeper and sturdier and will grow better with my toddler.

You do have to take everything off to fold it up, but it's really not a hassle. It only takes a few seconds to get the seats off and on. The frame folds very compactly unlike any other double stroller (or even a lot of singles!). And it is easy to lift in and out of my SUV. The storage underneath is plentiful, lots of space and lots of zippers to help you get into the space.

The brake is awesome it's located on the handle and is so easy to put the brake on and off unlike other strollers where you have to keep kicking around with your foot. I recently added the Sunshine Kids parent stroller accessory console, its super cheap and works really well with it. I ordered the city select tray but haven't received it yet. Baby Jogger accessories are very pricey and in my opinion, and most others, at least the trays should have been included.

I felt compelled to write this review because my husband and I spent about six months researching double strollers, trying them out, watching video reviews, reading hundreds of customer reviews, etc. and I could not be happier with our choice. Did I mention it looks great too?? I definitely recommend this stroller!!!!!!!!!!!!
