I don't know why this item has gotten such great reviews so far, but I have now become a victim to them. Needless to say the expectations must've been very low for so many to be content with this purchase.
The frame is weak and insubstantial. The plexi-glass arrived scratched and is also really fragile. The plastic frame sags if you pick it up incorrectly. The only thing that wasn't a total disappointment about this product was the cardboard backing. The cardboard came in mint condition, nice and thin with no creases or bends anywhere. Perfect dimensions and large enough to get a big and bold message across. The cardboard became my friendly neighborhood homeless guy's christmas present.
So if you want a nice piece of cardboard for your homeless sign, or 4 pieces of sagging stapled plastic to hold in front of the mirror for facebook phone pictures, this is the frame for you.

This was a gift for teen son, to hang a poster he wanted to frame. I also ordered the upgraded acrylic panel, so cannot comment on the clear styrene that I understand to be the default.
Frame arrived promptly. Packaging was suitable to the item; no damage and I was able to gift wrap this large item in the shipping box. The acrylic panel had blue plastic adhered to both sides to protect from scratches and the acrylic was in good condition.
Size appears true, in that the frame accommodated the 24x36 poster for which it was purchased.
I decided a poster frame was a great gift idea, so bought one locally for someone else. Local frame was similarly priced due to 50% off sale. If no local sale, this online item would be about half the local price, even with upgrade to acrylic. Comparing other observations here . . .
THIS FRAME:
- uses small metal tabs to hold contents in frame (bend up to remove/replace backing)
- acrylic panel (very clean after removal of plastic sheet on both sides)
- screws & picture wire provided (we will pre-drill)
LOCAL FRAME:
- had swivelling tabs to lock back into frame (fewer connection points)
- glass panel (heavier, soiled but cleaned readily with Windex)
- toothed metal hangers on one long and one short side of frame
After son opened this frame, I offered that he might choose the other if he preferred the style, and we would wrap this one for our other "giftee." He chose to keep this one.
This may be atypical, but we found the LOCAL frame to have corner damage once we got it home. Taking it back to return, we knew to check and found another damaged before finding an intact unit. No damage was found in this online item that was shipped to us.
Maybe those observations will be of use to you in considering a frame purchase. If nothing else, I have learned (and would recommend) that one peel back the protective corner packaging and inspect beneath if one is shopping for a frame in a store setting.
FWIW, I've ordered two additional smaller frames from this same vendor (Craig) for use with some smaller posters in my office.

This frame is just right, but I wish it came with pre-drilled holes in the back. Still it was a good value for the money.
